Electric Vehicle Revolution Hits the Pavement: New Guidance Tackles Trip Hazards in London
A significant week for cross-pavement charging solutions.
Following the Government’s £25 million funding announcement to support English councils in rolling out cross-pavement charging, London Councils has now released new guidance for London boroughs.
Mayor Brenda Dacres, Executive Member for Transport and Environment, commented: “Cross-pavement charging is a simple but powerful innovation that can help open up affordable home charging to thousands of residents – and reduce trip hazards at the same time.”
This is great news for London Boroughs who benefit from a clear way forward to implement cross-pavement channels like Charge Gully.
The new guidance which generally contains more details that the guidance from the Department of Transport released over Christmas, will be useful to any Local Authorities around the country looking to offer cross-pavement channels to their residents.
