  • Yes. If the pavement is privately owned or unadopted, installation can proceed with the landowner’s permission. We are already installing Charge Gully on privately managed pavements.

  • The channel is recessed flush into the pavement surface, fully enclosing the charging cable and keeping walkways clear. This removes the trip hazards associated with loose or covered cables.

  • Most EV owners only need to charge once or twice a week. Longer charging cables can often reach nearby spaces, although this may be restricted near certain street furniture for safety reasons.

  • No. Pavements are sloped towards the kerb for drainage, and the channel follows the same gradient. Water drains naturally, and the covered design limits water ingress.

  • Charge Gully can be installed across all common pavement types. Where surfaces are uneven, local adjustments are made to ensure a smooth and safe finish.

  • The channel includes a locking lid operated with a dedicated key, preventing tampering and keeping the cable secure when in use or closed.

  • Maintenance is minimal. Occasional clearing of leaves or debris may be required, but the channel is otherwise maintenance-free.

  • The system is designed to remove trip hazards. Residents are required to hold appropriate insurance to cover third-party injury, in line with local authority requirements.
